Human Resource Generalist
Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist supports the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance with employment laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, and delivering efficient HR services. This role involves recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and policy implementation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations and development plans.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in organizing training sessions and employee engagement activities.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- All other duties as necessary.
Education/Experience:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 1 year HR Generalist experience preferred
Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer.
